International Council of Nurses 2023 Congress

The Canadian Nurses Association is preparing to host the next ICN Congress in July 2023. As noted by Tim Guest, CNA’s Chief Executive Officer: “This is the third time that Canada will host an ICN congress, and we are looking forward to welcoming nurses from around the world to Montreal to discuss important topics for the profession, teach, learn, network, and celebrate together the best of global nursing.”

‘Nurses together: a force for global health’ is a fitting theme as we take on current challenges and prepare for the coming years. Sessions will be organized around eight sub-themes for presentations, posters and policy discussions: (1) nursing leadership: shaping the future of healthcare; (2) the critical role of nurses in emergency and disaster management: (3) driving the professional practice of nursing through regulation and education; (4) improving the quality and safety of healthcare delivery; (5) advancing nursing practice: pushing the boundaries; (6) growing and sustaining the nursing workforce; (7) promoting and enabling healthier communities; and (8) addressing global health priorities and strengthening health systems.
