Canadian Nurses Association Biennium

The CNA is holding its annual meeting and Biennial Convention in Vancouver from June 18-20, 2012–having it in our home province is a bonus for BC nurses.

Please visit the CNA website for convention information.

Community Health Nurses of Canada

The CHNC 2012 annual conference is being held in Toronto from May 14 to 16. This year’s theme is Wisdom to action: the power to shape change. These are excellent conferences for nurses involved in all aspects of community health—always a great opportunity to learn about practice innovations, research and policy.

National CHNC Conference Comes to BC in 2013!

The 2013 CHNC National Conference will be held in Kelowna at the Delta Grand Okanagan, June 17 – 19, 2013.

CHNC is seeking interested BC nurses for various positions and on several conference planning committees including program development and abstract review, sponsorship, marketing, hospitality and finance. The majority of conference planning work is done virtually, by teleconferences and emails.

A few current conference planning committee members will stay on to help and support new volunteers for the 2013 conference. This provides an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced volunteers!
Participating members would also be able to apply their volunteer hours to their CNA recertification. Please contact BC Board Member, Maylene Fong: maylene.fong@vch.ca
